"Pipestone Canyon" - Methow Valley, Washington

I took this photo several years ago with a small 35mm pocket camera. I love the photo and its wonderful colors, but it was just too soft and grainy for an enlargement. This was a good candidate for a little computer manipulation. With a series of sharpening and brush filters, I was able to give it a subtle painterly texture without losing its natural photographic look.
