"Rendezvous Pass Homestead"

Rendezvous Pass is high above the Northeast end of the Methow valley in Washington state. Early settlers tried to cultivate these high meadows, but were ultimately defeated by the long harsh winters. Relics like this old house have been well preserved due to the very dry climate.

This is a digital, photo-paint hybrid image. Up close it looks like a painting, but from a distance it is clearly a photograph. The fine paintbrush effect allows photos to be printed in very large sizes and remain sharp and clear.
